Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) is committed to supporting all students, faculty, and staff through robust programs designed to foster equity, wellness, and accessibility. With the Office of Student Affairs leading these initiatives, BSRU ensures that underrepresented groups receive targeted support in a range of essential areas. This comprehensive approach includes services addressing mental health, preventive care, and community integration, reflecting BSRU’s dedication to inclusive education.
1. Counseling Services for Mental Health
BSRU provides free mental health counseling services to address the needs of underrepresented students without discrimination. Through one-on-one counseling sessions and group workshops, students can access support in managing stress, academic pressures, and personal challenges. These services are available year-round by the Counselling Centre and are overseen by trained counselors within the Office of Student Affairs.

In 2024, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University provided counseling, services, and support to students, lecturers, and staff experiencing physical or emotional distress, totaling 24 cases. The university promotes mental well-being through basic mental health counseling, expert-led guidance from qualified lecturers, and peer-to-peer student activities.

2. Support Services for Students with Disabilities
The Disability Support Services (DSS) Center at BSRU offers specialized assistance to ensure accessible education for students with disabilities. This includes physical accessibility accommodations, academic support, and personalized counseling. The DSS Center works closely with students to tailor resources that enhance their learning experience and campus life, in line with BSRU’s commitment to inclusion.

3. Preventive Health Outreach and Peer Health Ambassadors
The university promotes wellness through preventive health workshops and wellness outreach initiatives. These include sessions on mental well-being, stress management, and physical health, often led by the Office of Student Affairs, where trained students assist in creating a supportive and inclusive campus environment. Through this program, BSRU empowers students to promote health among their peers.

As part of its comprehensive support for underrepresented groups, BSRU organized the “Depth of Mind” initiative to raise awareness of depression among secondary school students. Conducted in partnership with the Department of Mental Health, the program combined professional guidance with student-led activities, helping young learners build mental health literacy while fostering an inclusive, supportive environment beyond the university.
4. Wellness and Preventive Care Services
BSRU’s preventive care initiatives, supported by the Office of Student Affairs, emphasize regular health screenings and health check-ups to promote the well-being of all students, including those from underrepresented backgrounds. These services are made available throughout the year to reduce health disparities and encourage a proactive approach to personal and public health.

BSRU’s Department of Medical Technology, in collaboration with Labmove, organized free cervical cancer screenings for female staff and students using a non-invasive urine test. This preventive care initiative reflects the university’s commitment to accessible, proactive health services that support the well-being of women in the campus community.

5. Prayer Facilities for Muslim Students and Staff
To support the needs of its Muslim community, BSRU provides dedicated prayer rooms for students, faculty, and staff who practice Islam. Separate spaces are available for men and women, each equipped with ablution facilities, ensuring an inclusive and respectful environment on campus. Through these programs, BSRU reaffirms its commitment to building an inclusive and equitable campus community. The university’s proactive approach to student wellness and diversity ensures that each individual has access to essential resources for a successful academic journey and beyond.
