Gen Z Smart Startup Program

The Gen Z Smart Startup program is designed to equip BSRU students in grades 1 to 4 with practical entrepreneurial skills. This initiative demonstrates the university’s commitment to fostering innovation and entrepreneurship among young learners, supporting Sustainable Development Goal 8 (SDG 8), which emphasizes inclusive and sustainable economic growth, productive employment, and decent work for all.

Student teams of 7 to 10, guided by one or two faculty advisors, are required to develop and submit at least one business plan. The program includes structured training sessions that provide essential entrepreneurial knowledge and skills, culminating in a 3–5 minute video presentation of their business ideas. The program’s timeline includes multiple stages, such as business plan submissions, workshops, and a final competition, where winning teams may receive financial support of up to 30,000 baht to advance their startup projects.

Beyond building entrepreneurial capabilities, the initiative promotes collaboration, teamwork, and problem-solving—key skills for success in today’s economy. By supporting students in transforming innovative ideas into viable business concepts, BSRU contributes to cultivating a new generation of entrepreneurs capable of driving local economic growth and community development.
