Rajabhat Bansomdejchaopraya University (BSRU) proudly became the first Rajabhat university in Thailand to organize a comprehensive BSRU-SDG Week to Act 4 SDG Campaign, held from April 24-28, 2023. This pioneering event underscored BSRU’s commitment to sustainable development, bringing together government leaders, NGOs, industry experts, academics, and students to engage in cross-sectoral discussions and collaborative action toward the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).

Designed to foster active global citizenship among students and the wider community, BSRU-SDG Week offered SDG talks, interactive workshops, and exhibitions that empowered participants to deepen their understanding and contribute meaningfully to Thailand’s progress on the SDGs. This historic campaign solidified BSRU’s role as a leader in sustainability efforts within the Rajabhat university system.
The campaign included notable speakers across various sectors, such as Khun Wisut Tantinant, Partnership and Engagement Specialist from the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) Thailand, who discussed the role of SDGs in shaping Thailand’s future by 2030.

Dr. Thanit Changthavorn, Deputy Director of the Biodiversity-Based Economy Development Office (BEDO), introduced BEDO’s “Game Changers and SDG Mapping” to showcase biodiversity initiatives that align with SDG goals.

Additionally, BEDO organized an exhibition showcasing its “14 Game Changer” models, which highlighted the integration of biodiversity with sustainable development strategies. Interactive activities, such as a biodiversity exploration game using ThaiBioDiversity’s online platform and a Geographical Indication (GI) matching game, allowed participants to engage with sustainable practices that connect regional products to their unique geographic origins.

This cross-sectoral dialogue event served as a significant step towards advancing regional SDG strategies, with over 1,000 participants gaining insights into collaborative solutions for sustainable development. The event underscored BSRU’s commitment to engaging with governmental, non-governmental, and community partners to drive forward the SDG agenda through inclusive, knowledge-sharing platforms.
