BSRU is committed to promoting public access to several key facilities, aligning with the university’s dedication to SDG 11 through inclusive and community-oriented spaces. This openness not only enhances learning and cultural understanding but also reinforces BSRU’s mission to serve as a resource hub for both the university community and the public.

1.U-Thong Thawarawadi Education Center:

The U-Thong Centre exemplifies the university’s commitment to accessibility and community engagement. It regularly hosts educational programs, workshops, and research activities that welcome students, faculty, and occasionally, the public. Events such as seminars, exhibitions, and cultural activities held here connect local residents with university resources, promoting educational inclusivity. U-Thong’s design also supports individuals with mobility needs, ensuring that all visitors can access the building’s offerings.

Thonburi Knowledge Learning Center:

Open to the public on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, the Thonburi Knowledge Learning Centre invites visitors to explore the historical and cultural richness of the Thonburi area. Offering three daily tours at set times, it serves as a free resource for local students, researchers, and community members, reinforcing BSRU’s role in preserving and educating about regional history.

3. Hall of Fame: BSRU’s Hall of Fame,

another publicly accessible building, showcases the university’s achievements and contributions to academia and the community. Open to visitors, it provides insights into BSRU’s history and celebrates the accomplishments of its alumni, faculty, and students, fostering a sense of pride and connection within the university and the broader community.

Together, these buildings highlight BSRU’s commitment to open access, educational enrichment, and sustainable, inclusive practices.

4.Ekanat House: Office of Arts and Culture

The Office of Arts and Culture provides public access to the Thonburi Study Learning Center, Ekanat House, and the Hall of Honor. Each space preserves Thai cultural heritage, displaying artworks and artifacts significant to Thonburi’s history and arts. Entry is free, allowing the community to experience cultural heritage up close.

5.BSRU Library Building

Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) provides comprehensive public access to its library facilities, extending free use to students, faculty, and the general public with the simple presentation of a Thai ID. In line with the library’s policy(page 3) to “promote the transfer of knowledge and information resources collected to students, teachers, personnel, citizens, communities, and local areas that are remote and borderless in the form of a library anywhere, anytime,” BSRU ensures that its services reach even those in remote areas. For individuals who wish to borrow physical books, the library offers a subscription option, enabling registered users to take materials off-site for further study and research.
