In 2023, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) continued its commitment to promoting sustainable development and reducing inequalities through various initiatives aimed at improving access to basic services. Programs like “Sharing with Younger Generations” and the Suriya Emergency Volunteer Club exemplify the university’s dedication to addressing critical needs in health, education, and overall living standards. By focusing on infrastructure improvements and health awareness, BSRU aims to create a more inclusive society where all individuals, especially vulnerable populations, have equitable access to essential services that support their well-being and development.
“Sharing with Younger Generations”
As part of our commitment to promoting sustainable development and reducing inequalities, for over 35 years, the “Sharing with Younger Generations” initiative, spearheaded by the Student Club of Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), has made significant strides in improving access to basic services in rural and underdeveloped areas across Thailand.
This program represents a consistent commitment to community service, with the 36th annual project recently completed in December 2023. This initiative aimed to construct a new kindergarten building for Ban Bunsai School, Branch of Bunle Noi, significantly enhancing the educational environment for young learners.

The project was a collaborative effort led by the Panya Chon Khon Sang Fan Club at BSRU, demonstrating the university’s dedication to community service and social responsibility. Students and faculty came together, showcasing their genuine commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of children in the area. Through their hard work and dedication, they created a nurturing and supportive space that will foster early childhood education.

The administration of Ban Bunsai School expressed their heartfelt gratitude to all the participants in the project. They acknowledged the invaluable contributions made by faculty and students, highlighting the significance of such initiatives in bridging educational gaps and promoting inclusivity. The school administration assured the community that they would utilize the new building to its fullest potential, ensuring it serves as a vital resource for all students.

By providing improved facilities for preschool-aged children, the initiative not only addresses infrastructure needs but also supports the development of a more inclusive society. Through such efforts, BSRU is committed to reducing inequalities and ensuring that all children, regardless of their background, have the opportunity to receive quality education. Projects such as the 36th “Sharing Project” at Ban Bunsai School exemplifies BSRU’s ongoing efforts to contribute to sustainable development and support the communities we serve. We look forward to continuing our work in this area, creating lasting impacts that foster equality and educational advancement for future generations.

Suriya Emergency Volunteer Club
The Suriya Emergency Volunteer Club at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) plays a vital role in supporting SDG 3: Good Health and Well-being by providing emergency medical assistance, fostering health awareness, and actively participating in health-related initiatives both within and outside the university. Under the guidance of the Student Affairs Office, the club has a long-standing tradition of training students in life-saving techniques such as Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the use of Automated External Defibrillators (AED). Its members are certified in emergency medical response through accredited courses from the National Institute for Emergency Medicine and local hospitals, ensuring they are well-prepared to respond to emergencies on campus and in the local community. Over its decade-long existence, the Suriya Club has developed a reputation for its dedication to public health and safety.
The club also actively participates in public events and collaborates with external organizations to promote health and emergency preparedness. In 2023, members took part in the SX Sustainability Expo, ASEAN’s largest sustainability event, where they engaged in activities aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), including SDG 3. By taking part in health-related exhibitions and workshops, the students learned about various aspects of health promotion and disease prevention, particularly the importance of accessible healthcare and ensuring the well-being of people of all ages.
Moreover, the Suriya Club regularly organizes workshops to spread life-saving knowledge among the broader community. In July 2023, the club partnered with AIG Insurance (Thailand) and the Thai Health Promotion Foundation (THPF) to deliver a CPR and AED training session for students at a local primary school. Through this initiative, more than 80 students learned basic life support techniques. The club’s belief that early education on CPR can have long-lasting benefits is central to its outreach efforts. By training children in these essential skills, the club helps ensure that future generations are equipped to handle emergencies, contributing to a healthier and safer society.
Another notable partnership is with the Poh Tek Tung Foundation, a renowned charity organization focused on emergency relief and healthcare services. The foundation, known for its extensive public welfare work across Thailand, collaborates with the Suriya Club to deliver crucial training in emergency medical care to various community groups, including motorbike taxi drivers and other public transport operators. This collaboration has expanded the reach of the club’s training programs, providing essential skills to those most likely to encounter emergency situations in their daily lives.

In these activities, the Suriya Club not only supports the immediate health and well-being of its community but also aligns its efforts with the broader goals of SDG 3, ensuring access to essential health services and promoting the prevention of accidents and diseases through education and community engagement. By equipping individuals with life-saving knowledge and skills, the club continues to embody the spirit of volunteerism and public service at BSRU.
