Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) continues to advance its role as a neutral platform and inclusive space for dialogue on social, political, and cultural issues. Through initiatives such as Soft Skills Development through Social Engineering, the ASEAN+3 Youth Camp: Promoting Intercultural Learning and Inclusivity for Sustainable Futures, and the national program Fostering Integrity in a Democratic Society, BSRU has created opportunities for students to engage in open conversations, collaborative learning, and leadership development. These activities emphasize the importance of safe and respectful dialogue, enabling young people to explore diverse perspectives, strengthen civic values, and build intercultural understanding. By positioning students as active participants in addressing contemporary challenges, BSRU fosters a culture of engagement that supports integrity, inclusivity, and sustainable development.

1. Soft Skills Development through Social Engineering

In alignment with SDG 16, the Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University organized a student development program titled “Soft Skills Development through Social Engineering: Empowering Student Leaders as Community Innovators.” Held on March 9, 2024, this initiative provided a neutral platform for students from all years to engage in open dialogue, collaborative problem-solving, and innovative thinking for community benefit. The program created a safe and inclusive space where participants could explore diverse perspectives, exchange ideas, and strengthen their leadership capacity while fostering mutual respect and understanding. By integrating the principles of social engineering into skill development, BSRU supports the preparation of future leaders who can contribute constructively to addressing social and political challenges in their communities.

2. ASEAN+3 Youth Camp 2024: Promoting Intercultural Learning and Inclusivity for Sustainable Futures

On January 18, 2024, Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), through the Office of International Affairs and ASEAN Network, organized the Mini Conference: ASEAN+3 Cultural Learning through Daily Life as part of the 8th ASEAN+3 Youth Camp. The event was opened by Asst. Prof. Dr. Kulsirin Aphiratvoradet, Director of the Office of International Affairs and ASEAN Network, and brought together senior administrators from partner universities abroad, BSRU administrators, faculty, Thai students, and international students from across the ASEAN+3 region.

The academic sessions featured presentations by faculty and students from eight countries and 14 universities, showcasing cultural heritage, daily life, historical landmarks, and tourism destinations across ASEAN+3. This platform fostered mutual understanding and cross-cultural knowledge exchange in line with the theme “Equality, Diversity, and Inclusivity for Sustainable Development to Future Prosperity.” Through these combined academic and cultural activities, BSRU provided a neutral and inclusive platform for intercultural dialogue, strengthening regional cooperation while celebrating cultural diversity as a foundation for sustainable development.

3. Fostering Integrity in a Democratic Society

On August 29, 2024, students from the Department of Public Administration at Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU), led by Dr. Thanadet Sornsakaad, joined the national program “Fostering Integrity in a Democratic Society under Constitutional Monarchy” organized by the Secretariat of the House of Representatives. The program, held at the Parliament complex, featured seminars and interactive activities under the theme “Integrity: The Heart of Democratic Development.”

The initiative aimed to cultivate awareness of democratic values, promote integrity as a cornerstone of good governance, and instill civic responsibility among youth. Participating students attended panel discussions, took part in competitions, and visited the Parliament facilities, including the Sappaya-Sapasathan and the House of Representatives chamber. Through this engagement, BSRU students gained first-hand knowledge of parliamentary processes while reflecting on their role as future leaders in strengthening democracy and integrity in Thai society.
