Bansomdejchaopraya Rajabhat University (BSRU) continues to strengthen its commitment to building an inclusive and globally connected academic environment through international collaboration. A clear example of this is the 8th ASEAN+3 Youth Camp 2024, officially opened on January 17, 2024, with participation from 14 universities across eight ASEAN+3 countries, alongside Thai students and faculty. The camp featured cultural exchanges, exhibitions, and performances that highlighted the diversity of ASEAN+3 societies, while also celebrating BSRU’s 128th anniversary and reaffirming long-term partnerships with international institutions. By fostering dialogue, cultural understanding, and academic cooperation, this initiative underscores BSRU’s mission to expand opportunities for students and staff, driving the university toward greater visibility and recognition on the international stage.

The ASEAN+3 Cultural Exhibitions and the Unity of ASEAN+3 Performance, hosted by BSRU’s International Affairs Division in collaboration with 13 ASEAN partner universities, served as a platform to celebrate diversity, inclusivity, and sustainability. The event promoted cross-cultural learning and foreign language skills while showcasing performances and cultural exhibitions from ASEAN+3 countries. By engaging local schools and communities, the program not only advanced cultural exchange but also reinforced BSRU’s mission of delivering academic services to society and fostering international understanding for future prosperity.

Participants in the camp included students and lecturers from institutions such as Phnom Penh International University (Cambodia), the University of Danang (Vietnam), Universitas Mahasaraswati Denpasar (Indonesia), and the National University of Laos. BSRU covered the full cost of attendance for each participant, with a total budget of 504,000 THB, equivalent to 12,000 THB per participant, ensuring that financial barriers did not prevent talented individuals from attending.

BSRU’s commitment to supporting international students, especially those from low-income nations, highlights its mission to broaden educational access and strengthen collaboration. The university recognizes education as a transformative force and is devoted to creating opportunities for students from underprivileged backgrounds to participate in regional and global initiatives. This vision is closely tied to BSRU’s wider strategy of advancing internationalization, promoting intercultural understanding, and contributing to capacity-building in ASEAN’s less economically developed countries.
